ITINERARY
Arrive Nadi International Airport and air-conditioned coach transfer to the hotel. Bottled water provided during Meet & Greet.
Enjoy a scenic drive through the fertile sugarcane fields, local villages & farm settlements to the historical Viseisei village, a traditional Fijian village believed to be where the first Fijian landed, a guided tour inside the village. Continue on to Lautoka for sights, then onto the Gardens of Sleeping Giant which houses Raymond Burr’s magnificent collection of orchids. A stop in Nadi town for shopping, later visit a Hindu temple. Pure Vegetarian lunch is arranged here. You will have plenty of stops enroute for photos.
Arrive at your hotel and check-in, welcome drink, cool towels will be provided.
Overnight in Denarau/Nadi
Embark on a 1.5-hour scenic drive along the Queen’s Highway from Nadi and make a stop over at Coral Coast, named for the large fringing reef along the coast. Continue your journey passing through richly vegetated hills and valleys to Sigatoka town that sits at the mouth of the Sigatoka River. Sigatoka is known for its high production of fruits and vegetables, earning the title ‘Salad Bowl of Fiji’.
To explore Sigatoka in depth, hop on a Sigatoka River Safari guided tour on a jet boat along the Sigatoka River and visit a local village for a culturally immersive experience. The welcoming locals will bring you around their homes, perform a kava ceremony (a local custom of serving kava, the national drink of Fiji), share a meal and dance together with you! Thereafter, cruise your way up the picturesque Sigatoka River to visit authentic Fijian villages and experience a day in the life of a true ‘kaiviti’ (Fijian).
In the afternoon, head to the Kula Wild Adventure Park located in a forested area. The natural fauna of Fiji consists of numerous species of birds and reptiles, many of which have been listed as endangered species over the past decades. The Kula Adventure Park is all about protecting the threatened wildlife of Fiji. Learn about their breeding programs and even help feed the birds, iguanas and other animals.
Overnight in Denarau/Nadi
This morning, enjoy a day excursion to Mamanuca – a group of 20 small volcanic islands, some tiny coral atolls surrounded by sand bars and palm fringed beaches. Take a sightseeing cruise thorugh this beautiful archipelago and spend some time on a tiny island that you have all to yourself. You may consider snorkelling or other activities. Lunch is served on board the vessel.
