ITINERARY

DAY 1Arrive Muscat and enjoy a city tour

On arrival your scheduled pick-up will be waiting to transfer you to your hotel.   Enroute enjoy a city tour where you will get the unique opportunity to witness a modern commercial centre existing in harmony with its traditional culture.  The tour of the Grand Mosque (except on Friday) and Bait al Zubair Museum (except on Friday),  provides an insight into Oman’s history and development.  Drive along the corniche and visit the interesting Muttrah Souq, where you will be transported to another era.  Take a break for a photstop at the magnificent Al Alam Palace – the official residence of the Sultan of Oman, flanked by the 16^th Century Portugese forts Mirani and Jalali. 

Thereafter, check into your hotel and relax for the rest of the evening.

Note: Ladies to be fully covered and to carry a head scarf. Men to be in trousers.

Overnight in Muscat.

DAY 2Muscat – Bimmah Sinkhole - Sur

Enjoy a sumptuous breakfast in your hotel and check out to proceed to Ras Al Jinz along the scenic coastal route.  Start the day with a leisurely hike through the twin wadis of Shab and Tiwi.  An hour and a half later, you arrive at the Bimmah Sinkhole – a spectacular limestone crater with blue green waters.  Time permitting, take a dip and cool off and use the changing rooms to freshen up.

Thereafter, proceed to Sur, where the traditional Omani Dhows are still manufactured.  Visit the Dhow factory and the open air museum.

This evening, get enthralled as you watch the turtles.  Oman is famous for being the destination of choice for 5 out of the 7 turtle species of the world.  Going out to see the turtles on the beach is one of the most magical, surreal moments.

Overnight in Sur

DAY 3Pink Lagoons and Golden Dunes

Breakfast in your hotel and check out for your onward journey.  The only other two places which have pink lakes are Australia and Mexico.  Tucked away between the road from Ras Al Hadd and Al Askarah, get a glimmer of pink – well hidden!   You may feel wonderful and weird at the same time as these lakes are not mapped and normally nobody is around.  It is indeed a sight to behold!

Onto the Sharqiya Sands also known as the Wahiba sands is a large desert with vast golden dunes.  The home of the Bedouins!  Spend a night in the desert, experience the thrill of navigating the dunes on a 4*4, watch the sun setting on the dunes, enjoy a romantic candle light dinner.  Later, cozy up before a campfire with Arabic tea and watch the stars light up the desert sky.

Overnight in Wahiba Sands

DAY 4Dolphin Cruise – Muscat

After breakfast, check out and head towards Marina Al Bandar, a junction for water-sports, and enjoy a dolphin-watching cruise. Watching wild dolphins is a thrilling way to start the day and the lucky may even come across one of the many species of whales that can be found just a few kilometers from Muscat’s rugged coast. Not every trip guarantees a sighting, but you are sure to enjoy a trip out to sea and enhance your knowledge of nature’s most fascinating marine mammals. Later transfer to your hotel and check in.

DAY 5Farewell and fly back home

After breakfast, you will be transported to the airport for your flight to Muscat and onwards home, with wonderful memories of your desert experience in Oman!

• Any expenses of a personal/incidental nature such as tips, drinks, cigarettes, beverages or water during meals, meals, pay channel, laundry, etc.
• Early Check in and Late Check out. Standard Check in at hotels is 1400 hours and check out is 1100 hours.
• Meals other than what is mentioned in the itinerary.
• Airfare for your travel.
• Visa cost for your travel.
• Overseas Travel Insurance for your period of travel.

TERMS & CONCITIONS

Air Tours shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any delay in flights or change in Schedule by the airline and any situations arising out of the same. 

Any damages caused to the hotel rooms/coach during your stay, shall be payable by the passengers. Air Tours will not be liable for the same.

The Company shall not accept any liability or responsibility for any damages, loss, injury, accident, death, delay, breakdown or irregularity which may occur in carrying out of the tour arrangement.

Management reserves the right to claim any additional expenses due to delay or changes in train, plane, bus, ship or other services, weather conditions, strikes, war, quarantine and any other cause whatsoever and all such loss or expenses must be borne by the passengers.

We reserve the right to amend, alter, vary or withdraw any particular departure, excursion advertised or substitute a hotel of similar class if deemed advisable or necessary.

For the convenience of our passengers, we will sometimes amend the itinerary, however all the other services will remain the same.

The Tour Cost is combination of all the arrangement and hence cannot be calculated on individual service basis. Tour cost is one component and not calculated on individually.

Single Room Supplement charges will be applicable in case any of the guest cancel the reservations sharing room together.

Air Tours will not be liable in any loss of baggage by the Airline. However, our assistance will be offered to trace / locate any of your lost baggage.
