After breakfast this morning, collect your self drive vehicle and the first attraction to beckon you are the UNESCO awarded Sigatoka Sand Dunes.  The national park can only be explored on foot, which is not too difficult.  You can get a map at the information centre and self guide your way through the grasslands, woods and up to the dunes.  From atop the dunes, enjoy some stunning views of the coast. 

The rest of the day is at leisure.  You can take it easy or head to the Kula Wild Adventure Park located in a forested area.  The natural fauna of Fiji consists of numerous species of birds and reptiles, many of which have been listed as endangered species over the past decades.  The Kula Adventure Park is all about protecting the threatened wildlife of Fiji.  Learn about their breeding programs and even help feed the birds, iguanas and other animals.

Rest of the day is at leisure.

Overnight in Sigatoka

After breakfast this morning, check out of your hotel and head out to the Coral Coast, just a short drive from Sigatoka.  Coral Coast offers an 80kms stretch of white beaches and secluded bays along the shores of Viti Levu.  The coast is also home to many local villages where you can catch a glimpse of the real Fijian way of life.

Coral Coast offers visitors a host of activities from Surfing lessons to snorkelling tours and jungle treks.  The options are endless and will keep you busy for the next few days.

Day at leisure to enjoy the various activities and water sports at Coral Coast.  A perfect haven to relax and unwind for a few days or even practice some beach yoga.

Go kayaking, try stand-up paddleboarding or go snorkelling in a coral reef only meters away.  If you prefer something more quiet, consider witnessing a coconut jewellery making class or enjoy the sunny vibes as you relax in your hammock on the beach.

Start your day with a sumptuous breakfast and then head for a jungle trek with a local guide.  There are good chances that you will visit some beautiful hidden spots and little waterfalls only the locals know about.  Swim in the natural pools of the waterfalls or climb the rocks for some fun photos.

Later this evening, join the bonfire night which are organised by most resorts and enjoy a traditional Kava Ceremony.

Overnight in Coral Coast

After breakfast head out to the capital city of Fiji – Suva.  Suva is an urban melting pot and offers a few things worth discovering such as the main market of Suva, where you can stock up on some healthy snacks. If you are interested in learning more about the history of Fiji, do visit the Fiji Museum with its exhibits and ancient artifacts. 

Fiji also offers good shopping malls which boast of restaurants offering both local and international cuisine.

If you are looking for a night out in a bar or club, Suva is just the right place to be.  The city has vibrant nightlife with unique pubs and liberal night clubs.  Fijian parties tend to start pretty early in the evening, so it is totally possible to dance the night away and still be able to get a good night’s sleep.

Start the day with breakfast and then check out to head back to Nadi.

Check into your hotle and in the afternoon, explore Nadi. Visit Sri Siva Subramaniya Temple, which is an impressive and very colorful complex with woodcarvings of Indian Hindu deities.  If you need to buy some last-minute souvenirs, head to Nadi Handicraft Market where you can get some interesting buys at a good bargain.  Continue on to, the Gardens of Sleeping Giant which houses Raymond Burr’s magnificent collection of orchids.

This morning, enjoy a day excursion to Mamanuca – a group of 20 small volcanic islands, some tiny coral atolls surrounded by sand bars and palm fringed beaches.  Take a sightseeing cruise thorugh this beautiful archipelago and spend some time on a tiny island that you have all to yourself.  You may consider snorkelling or other activities. Lunch is served on board the vessel.
