ITINERARY
Arrive Colombo and drive to the tropical rainforest of Sinharaja past golden, sandy beaches, sleepy villages, green blankets of paddy fields and lush rubber estates. You may want to take a quick stop to snack on a spicy “Poi Roti”, the local street food and wash it down with sweet King Coconut water. Do try the local tropical fruits like mangosteen and rambutan.

Located in the south West of Sri Lanka, Sinharaja is the country’s last viable area of primary tropical rainforest. Teeming with endemic wildlife, especially birds, the reserve is home to over 50% of Sri Lanka’s endemic species of mammals and butterflies, as well as birds, insects, reptiles and rare amphibians.

Delight yourself this morning, as Mother Nature displays her very own extravaganza. The azure waves of the Indian Ocean swaying like a silken sheet in the gentle breeze, the morning sunrays showering down on the surface, breaking into a million dazzling diamonds.
Around an hour of sailing from the harbour, and you will be entertained by a pod of playful dolphins. At greater depths though, the real showstoppers are the Blue Whales.
Enjoy a light breakfast of sandwiches and fresh fruits on board your cruise and return to your hotel to spend the rest of the day relaxing on the beach.

This morning, after breakfast, proceed to the Yala National Park, know for the elusive leopards and elephants.
On arrival in Yala, check into your hotel and relax. As the dusk spreads around the trees of Yala set on an evening safari in Yala in pursuit of the elusive leopards and elephants.

After breakfast this morning, see Yala in its full glory basking in the morning sunlight. Spot the creatures of the forest with your expert guide – macaques, peacocks, mongoose, deer, and a variety of birds are an absolute treat for the nature lovers.

After breakfast, tour the Udawalawe wildlife Sanctuary in search of wild elephants and drop by at the Ath Athru Sevana, elephant transit home, where orphaned elephant babies are rehabilitated for a life in the jungle.
